According to the Human Genetic Examination Act (Genetic Diagnosis Act - GenDG) paternity tests in Germany can only be conducted when all persons involved have given their written consent.

What do I have to do?

1. Request our free sampling kit by email (info@jenagen.de) or by phone (+49 (0)3641 6285 260)
   
2. Prepare samples using our confidential and sterile sampling kit (simple and pain-free buccal swab - much like a cotton tip or cotton bud)
3. Send the samples, signed order form consent form to JenaGen
4. Pay by money order or direct deposit
5. Results are returned by the secure and confidential method of your choice (secure phone, fax, email, mail)

Sampling instructions

	We will send you our sterile sampling kits and an order form free of charge. The sampling kit contains sterile cotton buds. Always take 2 buccal swabs per person!
	Please follow the instructions included in the sampling kit!

Do not eat or drink for at least 1 hour before sampling. Immediately before taking the buccal swab, please rinse your mouth with fresh water (tap water or mineral water). Do not use dental care products! Mark all tubes unambiguously !
	Open one tube at a time by twisting the cap. Never open 2 tubes at the same time to avoid mix-up of samples. Handle the cotton bud at the shaft only - never touch the cotton part. Never allow other people or items to get into contact with the cotton part.
	Rub the swab on the inside of the cheek. Be sure to apply medium pressure and rotate the swab often in order to obtain cheek cells.
	Put the swab back into the labelled tube Do not seal the tube completely to allow the sample to dry for at least 1 hour. Seal the tube completely.
	Put all sealed tubes and the signed order form back into the carton. Send the carton to JenaGen
